Laptop batteries can be recharged approximately 1000 times, but after that they lose their ability to hold a charge. Once this happens, they need to be responsibly disposed of. Call2Recycle is the only free rechargeable battery and cell phone collection program in North America, with a network of 30,000 recycling drop-off locations. You just have to bag, seal and drop your battery in a provided collection box. Once the box is full, it is shipped for free to a recycling plant where the batteries are melted and the metals are used to make new products.
