How do I keep my PDA phone batteries from dying?

How do I keep my PDA phone batteries from dying?

Few things ruin your productivity faster than a dead cell phone battery. The problem is compounded if your phone is also your PDA.

To avoid this challenging situation, follow these tips:

  1. Keep one charger at home and one charger at work. If you travel by car frequently, invest in a car charger, too. That way you can charge your phone whenever you notice it's low and not have to worry about conserving the battery until you reach the charger.
  2. Keep the charger in the same place you deposit your purse, wallet, or briefcase at night. Get into the habit of plugging in your PDA phone to charge overnight if it's low.
  3. Avoid charging too frequently. All rechargeable batteries have a limited life, including PDA phone batteries. To get the longest life out of your battery, charge it when it's low but not so low that it will go dead before you have a chance to charge it.
  4. Reduce the frequency of charges by dimming the back light, lowering the volume or turning off unnecessary sounds, removing memory cards if they're not in use, and setting your PDA to hibernate sooner when not in use.

If your batteries are starting to require more frequent charges, taking longer to charge, or holding a charge for shorter periods of time, order new PDA phone batteries now so you'll have replacements ready when the inevitable finally happens.
