The number of PDA chargers you need depends on how frequently you use your PDA. You need one PDA charger at a bare minimum, but may want as many as three or four.Most PDAs have built-in rechargeable batteries, so you can't carry a spare battery like you can with some other devices. In order to use your PDA, you need to be able to charge it regularly with a charger designed for your PDA.If you're a light user, one charger may be enough. You can keep it at home or the office, depending on where you use it most often and sync it. Moderate users may want two chargers: one for home and one for the office. That way you never find yourself without a charger when the need arises. Heavy users, especially Treo, Blackberry, and other PDA phone users, will probably want a minimum of three chargers: one for home, one for the office, and one for the car. If you travel frequently, you may also want to keep a spare charger in your suitcase or briefcase so you can charge while out of town.Emergency chargers are available at some electronics stores. These single-use chargers are good for emergency charges during black-outs or on airplanes, but shouldn't be used as a permanent replacement for a traditional PDA charger that plugs into the wall.
