Can I use a PDA car charger in another country?
In most cases, you can use a PDA car charger in any car in any country. While electrical voltages vary from continent to continent, and sometimes between countries on the same continent, most cars have the same electrical output from their cigarette lighters. To use a PDA car charger on an airplane, you will also need an airplane adapter, which can be purchased right here at Laptops for Less. Of course, to use it, you will need to be seated in first class, business class, or one of the few economy seats that has a power outlet. In most cases, the engine or car battery must be on in order to charge the PDA. The PDA will charge more slowly than it would if you were using a wall plug, however it might be safer for your device to use the car charger in foreign countries. To charge from a wall plug, you also need a plug converter and a current converter. The current may be unstable, or the PDA may draw more power than the converter is designed to withstand, which could inadvertently damage your device and/or charger. As a safety precaution, don't leave your PDA car charger, or any other electronic devices or chargers, in view while you are away from the car. Some PDA car chargers can also be used with cell phones and other electronic devices if they have the proper plug, but a car charger designed specifically for your device may hold a better connection.
