MP3 Players Removable Battery
Do all MP3 players have a removable battery?
Do all MP3 players have a removable battery?
MP3 player manufacturers don't want you to know this, but many MP3 batteries are removable, even if they're integrated into the device. Although most batteries are removable, they may not be easy to remove. Before ordering a replacement battery, review any replacement instructions included in the battery description. Make sure you can find the screws for the battery case or other case clips as indicated. Order the battery and installation kit if you're confident you can open the case. We recommend using the provided installation kit to remove the battery. The tools are designed to open the case without damage to the case. Using your own hand tools could scratch or damage the case. Not all batteries include replacement instructions or installation kits. If instructions aren't provided, see if you can figure out where to open the case. If you can't, consider sending it to the manufacturer's replacement program or buying a new player. Be very careful when using a screwdriver or other tool to pry open the case. Use the smallest tool you can find to avoid scratches or case damage.Once you get the case open, you may find that the battery is connected with just a cable or attached with a dab of glue. Both of these are easily resolved with a gentle touch. Some manufacturers solder the battery to the inside of the case. Unless you're skilled with a soldering iron and familiar with soldering electronics, don't attempt to replace the battery yourself. You could damage the battery or the player or possibly injure yourself.
