There are a couple of particularly easy-to-use, economical, and compact laptop computer accessories that can help you manage your data: SD memory cards and thumb drives.

SD Memory Cards

SD memory cards are small, thin cards that can be used to store and transfer data. "SD" stands for "secure digital." These accessories come in a variety of data storage sizes, with one to two gigabytes generally being a useful size to choose. Because they are such small accessories, SD memory cards are often the data storage method for compact devices like digital cameras. Thumb Drives

Also known as flash drives or memory sticks, thumb drives can be a very useful and versatile way to transfer and store data. Their small size and convenient shape makes them ideal for sticking in your pocket when you're on the go or for keeping handy in your notebook carrying case. They connect to USB ports and often come in one to two gigabyte data storage sizes. Make sure to choose a thumb drive that is compatible with your operating system. You may just find that thumb drives are one of the most useful of your laptop computer accessories.
