The instructions below come with no warranty or guarantee, improper assembly or use of excessive force may result in damage to the parts involved or to your PDA/Mp3 Player. These instruction require a moderate level of technical ability and proficiency in the use of hand tools, as well as a general understanding of electronic components. Buyer assumes full responsibility for the installation of this replacement battery.

 

Step 1:

Using the included wrenchwrench.jpg (2203 bytes) remove the four screws from the case.

 

Step 2:

Using the included flat head screwdriverscrewdriver.jpg (11606 bytes) pry open the IPAQ case, starting at the bottom.

 

Step 3:

Continue prying the case towards the corners until the full length of the case pops open.

 

Step 4:

Lift open the IPAQ case. You should notice a yellow power cable that runs from the motherboard to the battery. The battery is glued to the case.

 

Step 5:

Using the flat head screwdriver, carefully lift the yellow power cable plug connector away from the battery connector. The case and battery should now be free from the rest of the IPAQ.

 

Step 6:

Using the flat head screwdriver unglue the old battery from the case cover (Do NOT puncture the battery). Apply the new battery on the case within the guide brackets. The battery should stick to the original glue spots. Please pay attention to have the original orientation (connector towards the bottom of the IPAQ).

Connect the yellow power cable by positioning it over the socket on the battery, pushing it in.

Snap on the cover and put back the four screws.

Your new battery will need a minimum of three hours of charging before first use.
