DC to DC Step up converter
Installation and configuration instructions

Step 1. Set the voltage on your DC Converter.

Look on your old AC Adapter and read on it the Voltage. Example “Output 16V DC 3A”. Sometimes the Voltage is also written on the back of the laptop or your device. Please set your DC Converter to the Voltage setting you found for your laptop. You can do that by moving the lever on the front of the adapter to the desired voltage.

Step 2. Select the Connector tip.

Please make a visual match from your AC Adapter connector to one of the seven tips included.

Step 3. Select polarity.

Please look on your AC adapter or back of your device and identify one of these two signs listed below.

In this situation, please connect the tip you are using with the Minus (-) sign to the “Tip” inscription

In this situation, please connect the tip you are using with the Plus (+) sign to the “Tip” inscription.

Please find on the DC Converter output cord the inscription “TIP” as shown below.


Please Connect the tip with the minus sign towards the “TIP” sign for the Situation A and the plus sign for situation B.

This completes the configuration process, your DC Converter is ready to use. The green LED should come on as soon as you plug it in the cigarette lighter adapter.

 Fuse replacement

To check or replace fuse, simply rotate the plastic tip at the end of adapter counterclockwise. Visually inspect fuse element. If blown or if you are unsure, replace the fuse (10 AMP).    

Caution

1. For DC 12V usage only.

2. Ensure correct voltage and polarity is used as continuous excess voltage or false polarity could damage your computer.

3. Do not use this adapter with appliances that exceed 70W.

4. Do not attempt to open the unit.

5. Remove from vehicle lighter socket when not in use.

6. Always turn off the computer before you connect/disconnect the car adapter.

7. Please start the car engine first, then plug in the car adapter.
