Cell Phone Battery Life
How can I maximize my cell phone battery life?
If you have ever lost power in the middle of a call or found yourself far from a charger when you see your phone's battery is about to die, you know how important it is to maximize cell phone battery life. But how do you do it? Following our tips below can help you make your battery last longer.
Saving Cell Phone Battery Power
By changing a few settings on your cell phone, you will be able to reduce the power it uses. Newer cell phones come with all sorts of features that are fun but not absolutely necessary to the functionality of the phones. Unfortunately, many of these features suck up battery power quickly. Turning off your phone's vibrate feature and using the camera as little as possible are easy ways to save power.
Turn Off the Lights
When you activate your phone by opening the cover or pressing a key, it probably lights up. This backlight feature uses a lot of power. While you won't want to turn it off completely, you can reduce the amount of time that the light stays on by changing its timeout period in the phone's settings.
Stop Searching for a Signal
If you are in an area with no reception, turn off your device. Generally, it will continuously search for a signal when it cannot find service. This search uses a lot of battery power. You probably will not be able to use your phone anyway, so if you notice that it is without a signal, simply turn the device off to extend your cell phone battery life.
