Where can I use an AC wall travel charger with an MP3 player?

You can use an AC wall travel charger with an MP3 player in any country where AC/DC current is available. You will probably also need a voltage converter and a plug adapter suitable to the country or region you're traveling to.

Some travel chargers are designed for various currents, which means they can accept any current between 100 and 240. Most countries are within that range, although a few may have higher currents. Check the country's tourism website or your travel guide for information.

If your AC wall travel charger is configured for variable currents, than you only need a plug adapter to travel with it. Each continent has a different plug, and Europe and the UK have different plugs. Don't try to bend back your ground prong or otherwise use your US plug in foreign plugs without the appropriate plug adapter. At best, you will destroy the plug. At worst, you could destroy your device, receive an electrical shock, or start a fire.

For your safety, read the user's manual that came with your MP3 player before using it with an AC wall travel charger. The manual may recommend additional precautions. We recommend buying a travel charger intended for use with your device rather than a universal travel charger, although a universal charger won't damage your device. You may, however, have a difficult time finding a single charger that works with all your devices. Many chargers have either USB or pin connectors and can't be adapted for use with the opposite set-up.
